2nd Annual Denver School of The Arts Renaissance Festival Saturday, April 30
Denver School of the Arts invites you to join students on Saturday, April 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. as they travel back in time for the 2nd Annual Renaissance Festival at DSA. Bring the family, kids, friends and relatives for a great time.
The festival is your chance to see students perform their Shakespeare scenes before they perform downtown at the district's annual Shakespeare Festival on Friday, May 6.
Come hungry and get Ye Old turkey legs, burgers, hot dogs, tarts and more. Have fun at Ye Old Cakewalk, Dueling Knights or dance around the Maypole. Get your face painted, hair braided or a henna tattoo by a fair maiden. There will be crafts for the little folk with clowns and music to entertain. A caricaturist and photographers will capture all the fun. There will be a chocolate bar giveaway for your sweet tooth and special awards and prizes given away.
Admission is $1 per person. Tickets will be sold at the door. Food will be served in the rotunda and surrounding area. Students will perform on selected stages. For more information contact Shawn Hann, DSA Theatre Department, 720-424-1700. The school is located at 7111 Montview Blvd.
