Board Of Education Meeting Agendas For Thursday, April 21
The Board of Education will hold a work session and regular meeting on Thursday, April 21 at the administration building, 900 Grant St.
Following is a review of agenda highlights:
4 p.m. Work Session, Room 706 (Some items may not be considered until after the regular meeting and public comment session.)
- Review Board agenda
- Negotiations (closed)
- Legal (closed)
- Proposed changes to Community Use policy
5 p.m. Regular Meeting, First Floor Board Room
- Lease first floor of Cole Middle School to Community College of Denver
- Approve the implementation of the PACE model for redesign of Mitchell Elementary School
- Amend Ridge View Academy charter contract to allow it to serve adjudicated girls at a facility in Jefferson County
- Approve DPA Charter School contract (the charter school contract for the Denver Peak Academy application was approved in December 2004) to serve homeless students
- New business: Proposed revitalization plans for Ford and Stedman elementary schools; a timeline for charter school applications; a proposal for an Independent Center for International Studies; a proposal to revise graduation requirements to clarify rules for post-secondary options and provide more flexibility for students.
