Board Of Education Meeting Agendas For Thursday, April 21

The Board of Education will hold a work session and regular meeting on Thursday, April 21 at the administration building, 900 Grant St.

Following is a review of agenda highlights:

4 p.m. Work Session, Room 706 (Some items may not be considered until after the regular meeting and public comment session.)

  1. Review Board agenda
  2. Negotiations (closed)
  3. Legal (closed)
  4. Proposed changes to Community Use policy

5 p.m. Regular Meeting, First Floor Board Room

  1. Lease first floor of Cole Middle School to Community College of Denver
  2. Approve the implementation of the PACE model for redesign of Mitchell Elementary School
  3. Amend Ridge View Academy charter contract to allow it to serve adjudicated girls at a facility in Jefferson County
  4. Approve DPA Charter School contract (the charter school contract for the Denver Peak Academy application was approved in December 2004) to serve homeless students
  5. New business: Proposed revitalization plans for Ford and Stedman elementary schools; a timeline for charter school applications; a proposal for an Independent Center for International Studies; a proposal to revise graduation requirements to clarify rules for post-secondary options and provide more flexibility for students.
