Two Thomas Jefferson High School Students Compete Next Week At International Career Development Conference In Anaheim, California

Thomas Jefferson High School seniors Chrissy Graves and Anthony Porche will compete at the International Career Development Conference Thursday, April 28 through Sunday, May 1 in Anaheim, Calif. Porche will compete in the category of food marketing and Graves in retail merchandising.

The two qualified for the competition at the State DECA Conference held in Colorado Springs Feb. 27 through March 1.

DECA, an association of marketing students, is a co-curricular club for students enrolled in marketing education courses in district high schools.

The International Career Development Conference (ICDC) is the highlight of the DECA year. Thirteen thousand students, advisors, businesspersons and alumni gather for several days; most compete in one of DECA's competency-based competitive events. The top competitors in each event are recognized for their outstanding achievements.
