"Intergenerational Idols" Benefit Friday, May 13 - For Rainbow Bridge - Features Many DPS students

"Intergenerational Idols" - a one-of-a-kind celebration of the musical and dance talents of nursing home residents and area youth - will be held Friday, May 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Grandview High School, 20500 E. Arapahoe Road. The evening program includes students from Denver Public Schools in a variety of the performances.

For over 10 years, Rainbow Bridge has trained and worked with thousands of youth of all ages and hundreds of adults in volunteer programs. Rainbow Bridge volunteers help in the mission of enhancing the quality of life for nursing home elders and to bring generations together in mutually rewarding relationships. Rainbow Bridge also serves a few thousand isolated elders each year.

"Intergenerational Idols" is the group's primary fundraising event for 2005. Tickets for the general public are $10; tickets for nursing home and assisted living residents and youth 18 and under are $5. For tickets and information, call Mary Ann May at 303-830-9038.
