Nomination Deadline Extended Through April 20 For 2nd Annual Hispanic Education Advisory Council (HEAC) Awards To Honor Students, Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Parents/Guardians And Community Volunteers
The nomination deadline is being extended through Wednesday, April 20 for the 2nd Annual Hispanic Education Advisory Council (HEAC) Awards program that is being held on Monday, May 2 at the Denver School of the Arts, 7111 Montview Blvd.
Recognizing primarily students from all grade levels for their outstanding academic achievement and leadership qualities, the HEAC Awards also honor teachers, paraprofessionals, parents/guardians and community volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to Denver Public Schools students.

The Hispanic Education Advisory Council was organized on Sept. 10, 1969, with the mission of assuring excellence in education for Hispanic students and the community by assisting the Board of Education and the Superintendent in understanding and addressing the issues of Hispanic students. HEAC is committed to working with and serving the Hispanic community and all DPS students, in particular, Hispanic students.
