Cards And Dice Will Be Flying At Colfax Elementary School Thursday, Feb. 10; Parents Help Create New Generation Of "Number Power Superheroes"
Colfax Elementary School will be holding its first Family Math Event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10.
The evening will include games, food and fun. Parents will have the opportunity to see Everyday Mathematics in action. Teachers will be sharing their favorite games - some including cards and dice - and helping parents learn how to assist with learning math at home. Students will be demonstrating how Everyday Math games are helping them master their math skills. And, each family will go home with a kit so parents can help create a new generation of "Number Power Superheroes."
The evening will include a light dinner and entertainment. Some students have been practicing to perform just before dinner is served. So, put on your thinking caps and head to Colfax Elementary School for a relaxed, enriched night of fun.
