Rotary Club Of Denver Sponsors Baker Middle School "Perfect Attendees" At National Western Stock Show
Twenty-four Baker Middle School students who have achieved perfect attendance for the first semester of school will be honored by the Rotary Club of Denver as guests at the National Western Stock Show Rotary Dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 19. After the dinner, students will be the guests of the Rotary Club of Denver 31 at the rodeo.
The following students will be honored: Luis Cardoza, Angelica Cerda, Elizol Gomez Tinoco, Jessica Hernandez, Saira Mendoza, Randy Moreno, Mariano Ramirez, Oliser Ruiz, Oyate RunningBear, Jennifer Vasquez, Mercedes Apolinar, Aaron Castro, Jose Gomez-Tinoco, Carlos Herrera, Veronica Lopez, Yuridiana Lopez, Victor Magana, Makir Opopeza, Celestina Padilla, Guillermo Quiones, Eloisa Salcedo, Blanca Cabrales, Natalia Guevara, Moriama Gutierrez, Cassandra Martinez, Ione Matthews and Raul Prieto. "Congratulations to these outstanding students," said Baker principal Linda Torres.
This evening is part of a comprehensive project launched by Rotary Club of Denver 31. Rotary has adopted Baker Middle School and is supporting students through tutoring in math classes and visits with Rotary members at their places of work. The partnership was kicked off this holiday season when Rotary donated holiday dinner baskets to 65 Baker families.
