Metlife Dance For Life Project Hip Hop Dance Performance At Maria Mitchell Elementary School On Monday, Nov. 8
Through the generous funding of the MetLife Foundation, Young Audiences of Colorado has provided Maria Mitchell Elementary School the opportunity to participate in the Dance For Life Project.
For their culminating event, the students in the Dance for Life Project at Maria Mitchell will be performing their dances at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8. Both performances will be held in the school's gymnasium and are open to the public.
On Wednesday, Sept. 29 the students and staff at Maria Mitchell were treated to an electrifying opening performance by the hip hop dance group E.O.M. (Elements of Motion). On Tuesday, Oct. 26 over 60 students in third through fifth grade began studying hip hop dance with artist in residence Ricky Harada, a local professional dancer.
Maria Mitchell Elementary School is located at 1350 E. 33rd Ave. in northeast Denver.
