Kaleidoscope Corner And Junior Achievement To Hold First Annual 'Holiday Mart' At Cory Elementary School Saturday, Dec. 4

Kaleidoscope Corner and Junior Achievement extend a general invitation to the first annual 'Holiday Mart' from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Cory Elementary School, 1550 S. Steele St.

The event will feature beautiful and unusual handmade gifts, ornaments and holiday treats made by Kaleidoscope Corner children from all 34 sites. Various activities and stations will be available throughout the school including henna tattoos, a wrapping station, a visit with Frosty, a cake walk and child care. In addition, refreshments will be provided.

"We are fund raising for scholarships and to supplement programs serving the homeless and children in transition," said Sheila Peck, area supervisor for Kaleidoscope Corner. "We are hoping to attract DPS families as well as the general public to do some holiday shopping."

Proceeds will benefit programming at all 34 Kaleidoscope Corner sites.

Kaleidoscope Corner is a licensed child care program offered for four-year-olds through students in fifth grade (age 12) at select Denver schools. Some Kaleidoscope Corner sites serve three- to 12-year-olds.
