Remington, Valdez Elementary School Artwork On Display Dec. 3 To 5
Student artwork from Remington and Valdez elementary schools will be on exhibit at the Barnes and Noble Book store (960 S. Colorado Blvd.) from Friday, Dec. 3 through Sunday, Dec. 5.
The exhibit highlights the importance that arts play in teaching literacy, said Maruca G. Salazar, northwest area arts specialist. Students use arts to create visual interpretation of the main ideas of books they are reading, she said, or use various mediums to explore interpretations of books. All grade levels will be represented in the exhibit.
