Community Of Montclair Elementary School Hosting Italian Wine Tasting To Raise Funds For School On Thursday, Oct. 14.
The community of Montclair Elementary School will host "An Italian Wine Tasting" in a neighborhood historic home from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14.
The "Mingle for Montclair Elementary" event will raise funds for the school. The $15 per person donation includes hors d'oeuvres and Italian wines.
Revitalization committee member Scott Hamling will host the event at his historic home located at 765 Olive St. Montclair Elementary School's new principal Shannon Hagerman and teachers from the school will be at the event.
Montclair Elementary School is one of 13 schools eligible to tap into the $2.5 million targeted for revitalization that was envisioned under the 2003 mill levy election (a $20 million annual tax increase approved by voters).
Revitalization committee membership includes two to four individuals from each of these groups: parents of existing students; parents residing in the neighborhood but whose children do not attend the school; representatives from the school's staff, preferably one of whom is a member of the Collaborative School Committee; and non-parent community members.
