Olympic Silver Medalist Will Visit With East And Montbello High School JROTC Students On Tuesday, Oct. 12

The U.S. Olympic Silver Medallist in Marksmanship will be visiting East and Montbello high school boys' and girls' JROTC rifle teams Tuesday, Oct.12.

U.S. Army Major Michael Anti - an Olympic silver medalist - plans to attend the JROTC rifle team practice at East High School. The separate boys' and girls' JROTC teams routinely practice from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. Major Anti will be joining the Montbello High School JROTC class from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Major Anti is based in Fort Benning, Georgia - home of the Army Marksmanship Unit. He will visit the two schools on his way to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

The visit is arranged by the US Army Recruiting Command, the higher headquarters for the Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) and the Black Knights Army Parachute Team.
