Tickets Available Now For Denver School Of The Arts Orchestra "Strings Away Concert" On Sunday, Nov. 7

Tickets are available now for the "Strings Away Concert" performed by young musicians (ages 11-18) from the highly-acclaimed Denver School of the Arts (DSA) at their fall event at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7.

The orchestra will celebrate its first concert of the year with a performance of Beethoven 4th Symphony in B flat. Also slated are guest artists Abby Newton (distinguished cellist) and her ensemble Ferintosh. Event proceeds will benefit the DSA orchestra program.

Ferintosh is an all-star trio of musicians, featuring Abby Newton on cello, David Greenberg on fiddle and Kim Robertson on Celtic harp. Their sound has been described as "chamber folk" because it combines the soulful energy of traditional Scottish music with the virtuosic precision of Baroque music. Ferintosh presents vibrant new renditions of music that kings and commoners alike heard in centuries past, from poignant aires to high-spirited strathspeys and reels. Their dynamic arrangements unleash both the subtle and beauty and rhythmic energy of this timeless music.

The Denver School of the Arts is located at 7111 Montview Blvd. at the corner of Montview and Quebec. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets are available from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the DSA Box Office, 303-321-9435.
