Denver School Of The Arts To Hold Annual Fall Festival Tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 30)

The Denver School of the Arts will hold its annual "Fall Festival" from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 on the school's campus at 7111 Montview Blvd. DSA extends an invitation to people of all ages and especially to the school's new neighbors in northeast Denver.

Attendees will enjoy the Haunted House with the "abysmal elevator," a cake walk, fortune telling, makeup, tattoos, pumpkin decorating, photos and more. Students will look forward to watching their teachers participate in both the pie-toss booth and the karaoke contest. Concession stands also will be set up to serve the public.

Funds raised at the festival will support arts productions. DSA is the Rocky Mountain region's only public school with a primary focus on the arts. This magnet program draws students in grades six through twelve from Denver and surrounding areas. DSA grew from a conviction that passion for the arts could correlate directly with academic achievement. Students audition for admission through one of three major arts programs: fine and practical arts, music and performing arts (dance and theater). The school enjoys numerous partnerships with Denver cultural groups as well as guest artists.
