Goldrick Elementary School Will Dedicate Its New Learning Landscape Monday, Nov. 1

Goldrick Elementary School will dedicate its new Learning Landscape at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Nov.1 at 1050 S. Zuni St. The dedication will include brief comments and then the students will be able to play on their new Learning Landscape.

Learning Landscapes include a playfield, age-appropriate equipment, gardens, trees, non-traditional play features, shade structures and a gateway to the neighborhood. The objectives of the initiative include reducing discipline issues on school grounds, providing better physical education and resources for classroom projects, establishing a gathering place for neighborhood families and strengthening neighborhood-school partnerships.

The Learning Landscapes being dedicated this fall were funded through the $310 million general obligation bond approved by voters in November 2003.
