Famous Denver Athletes Will Promote Reading Event At News Conference Monday, Oct. 18
There will be a news conference Monday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tattered Cover Book Store in Cherry Creek to announce and promote "Read, Colorado!"
"Read, Colorado!" will be a free event Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with over 250 authors selling and signing books at INVESCO Field at Mile High Stadium. This family-friendly event will also include a variety of celebrity readers.
The news conference will include "Read, Colorado!" event organizers Sally Kurtzman and Claudia McAdam; former Denver Bronco stars Rich Karlis, Karl Mecklenburg and Reggie Rivers; and several prominent Colorado authors.
The Tattered Cover Book Store is located at 1955 E. 1st Ave. The news conference will be held in the basement. Set-up is available beginning at 10 a.m.
Denver Public Schools and a variety of businesses are supporting "Read, Colorado!"
