Horace Mann Middle School Announces Free Monthly Parent Workshops Beginning Today (Thursday, Oct. 14)
Horace Mann Middle School and the Horace Mann Neighborhood Center at the school, 4130 Navajo St., are pleased to announce their new series of free monthly workshops for parents beginning Thursday, Oct. 14 and running through April 2005.
All parents in northwest Denver area are encouraged to attend. Each workshop runs in the evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the school.
The following workshops are being offered:
- Thursday, Oct. 14: The Power of Parents
- Thursday, Nov. 4: Seven Secrets of School Success/ Los Siete Secretos del Éxito Escolar
- Thursday, Dec. 2: What Young People Need in Order to Succeed/The 40 Developmental Assets (Special Presentation by Flores Indígenas)
- Thursday, Jan. 13: Connected Math - Part I, Effective Communication - Part II
- Thursday, Feb. 10: DPS Literacy Program and CSAP
- Thursday, March 10: Multiple Intelligences
- Thursday, April 14: Supporting our Children's Learning during the Summer/Parent Appreciation and Recognition Dinner
