McCormick's Announces Backpack Collection To Benefit Harrington Elementary School
Both McCormick's Fish House & Bar in lower downtown and McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant in the Denver Tech Center are asking for help in giving needy school children a fresh, new start to the school year. General Managers Jeanna Gaydeski and Julie Muise are excited to announce that the backpacks collected will be donated to Harrington Elementary School.
Harrington Elementary School (2401 E. 27th Ave.) is located in northeast Denver with a current population of 550 students in pre-school through fifth-grade. The school operates on a continuous year calendar and McCormicks hopes to improve the school year for many students by fitting them with new backpacks.
"Learning is the most important thing we do at Harrington every day," said Harrington principal Sally Edwards. "School supplies, at home and at school, equip our students to achieve those learning opportunities that so many of us take for granted."
Through Monday, Sept. 6, anyone who drops off a new backpack at either restaurant will receive a $20 gift certificate redeemable at either McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant in the Denver Tech Center or McCormick's Fish House & Bar in downtown Denver. (One gift certificate per new backpack.)
McCormick's Fish House & Bar opened in the Oxford Hotel in lower downtown in 1987. The telephone number is 303-825-1107. Located in the Denver Tech Center, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant joins sister concept McCormick's Fish House & Bar in Denver. The telephone number is 720-200-9339. Both McCormick's Fish House & Bar and McCormick & Schick's Seafood Restaurant's menu also features a Fresh List, printed twice daily and offering the freshest seafood items.
