On Monday, May 24 the Lake Middle School Special Education Department will be honored by staff at St. Anthony's Hospital for the school’s “Mini Animal Museum.”

The students' animal models will be displayed in the hospital's lobby May 20-24. A reception honoring the students, family, teachers and administrators will be held in the hospital's Auditorium A at 1 p.m. St. Anthony's chief executive officer and other staff members are expected to attend.

The students have been studying various animals through a grant from Art Infusion. Teachers used differential learning when teaching about the animals and created a mini museum with posters and models. Third-grade students from nearby elementary schools were then invited to visit the museum.
