Munroe Elementary School’s “Author's Night” will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 20 including a presentation by Denver author Mary Hernandez.

Hernandez, whose titles include “Tears Are Wept and Memories Are Kept” and “Sarah’s Oak Tree Swing,” will make her presentation at 5:30 p.m.

Students will share books they created in their individual classrooms and guest readers will read a book of their choice (in English or Spanish).

The event will end with dinner and a book raffle in the school cafeteria.
