Due to popular demand, the student production of “The Zoot Suit Riots” will return to North High School on Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and June 6. A matinee at 2 p.m. and evening show at 7 p.m. will be staged each day.
Tickets are $10 for general seating and $15 for reserved seating; student tickets are $5.
The production played to packed houses recently and drew considerable praise. The North Denver Tribune said the production was ”wonderful” and featured “strong” lead actors and “impeccable” music.
The play is directed by Jose Mercado, with set designs by Carlos Fresquez and Fawn Atencio. In addition to North High School students in lead roles, the production features guest artists Yolanda Ortega Ericksen and Manuel Roybal.
