Denver Public Schools’ Indian Education Program will hold its annual Honoring Celebration at College View Elementary School on Thursday, May 6. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a “get acquainted” time followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The program is at 7 p.m.
The 32 seniors, who will wear their traditional dress, will be presented with handmade star quilts and individually introduced along with members of their families. Lucille Echohawk and Clark Tall Bull are the scheduled speakers for the ceremony and the Denver Singers will sing the Honor Song. Dr. Farrell Howell will offer a closing prayer and Phyllis Bigpond will sing the Closing Song.
