“Teddy Roosevelt” At Morey Middle School Thursday, March 4

The 47th Annual Colorado RV, Sports, Boat and Travel Show is bringing a national motivational/inspirational performer (in the persona and look of Teddy Roosevelt) to Morey Middle School in Denver to speak to 60 eighth-grade students from Dan Buehler’s Social Studies class.

Keith McGough, who has spoken to more than 30,000 students nationwide, plays the former president and will be speaking to the students using Teddy's famous demeanor and his core values of pride, unity, duty, responsibility, perseverance and common purpose. He will also be speaking on and promoting a land conservation ethic in Colorado as "The Father of Land Conservation."

McGough is authentically costumed with period props and has an amazing resemblance and mannerism of this great American hero, which allow him to enliven, excite and energize students while instilling a motivational message. He will be performing/speaking at the Colorado RV, Sports, Boat and Travel Show, running through Sunday.

The Morey visit will be Thursday, March 4 at 10:20 a.m. Morey Middle School is located at 840 E. 14th Ave.

The mission of Morey Middle School is to live as a community of learners using three aspects: growing and academic skills and concepts, personal development and responsible, self-directed learning.
