Board Of Education Agendas For Thursday, March 4

The Board of Education will hold a work session, public hearing and regular meeting on Thursday, March 4 at the administration building, 900 Grant St.

Following is a review of the agendas:

4 p.m. - Work Session, Room 706 (Please note some items may not be considered until after the regular meeting)

  1. Review of Board meeting agenda items
  2. Negotiations (closed)
  3. Legal (closed)
  4. Mill Levy Revitalization
  5. Recruitment – teachers and administrators

5 p.m. - Regular Meeting, first floor Board Room

  1. Mill Levy Revitalization Committee report
  2. Boundary Line Adjustment – A county boundary line from Adams County to the City and County of Denver Public Schools
  3. Supplemental budget for the 2003-2004 school year
  4. Updated presentation on K-8 program and Dual Language program for Bryant-Webster Elementary School
  5. Further discussion of the staff proposal to provide flexibility for high school start time
  6. Staff proposal for the use of 1998 and 2003 mill levy funds directed to textbooks
  7. Staff recommendations regarding the schools that should be given priority for inclusion in the revitalization initiative

7 p.m. - Public Hearing, first floor Board Room
To date, 26 individuals have signed up to address the Board. The main topic is high school transportation.
