Patricia Lopez, Manager of Psychological Services, is the 2004 National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) “Health Care Coordinator of the Year.” The NASP Government and Professional Relations (GPR) Committee selected Lopez for her dedication to children, youth and the School Psychology Action Network. Lopez is retiring from DPS in August after 25 years of service.
The GPR Awards will be announced during the NASP Annual Convention in Dallas, Texas from Tuesday, March 30 to Saturday, April 3. NASP President Daniel C. Miller and the GPR Committee will host a special awards ceremony and reception to present the awards from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 2 at the Dallas Press Club.
NASP is the largest organization of school psychologists in the world, representing 21,000 members in the United States and abroad. NASP’s mission is to promote and support school psychology through leadership to enhance the mental health and educational competence of all children.
