Students In After School Program At Rosedale Elementary School To Perform “Peter And The Wolf”

Rosedale Elementary School will perform Prokoviev’s "Peter and the Wolf" at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 2 in the school gymnasium. Approximately 40 students will participate in this performance. The students and their teacher, art and drama instructor Celeste Sicner-Hurd, have worked for six weeks with the Art Club program "Art Around the World” funded by a "Lights On After School" grant.

Everyone is invited to attend the performance and acknowledge the skills and efforts in art and drama by the students during the after school program this semester. There will also be artwork in the hallways showing the students journey through "Art Around the World.”

Rosedale received $3,713 in grant money from the DPS Foundation to fund its “Lights On After School” program, which provides free after school options in Denver schools.

Rosedale Elementary School is located at 2330 S. Sherman St. For more information contact Celeste Sicner-Hurd, art and drama teacher for Rosedale, at 303-744-2381.
