Swansea Ballet - with students from Swansea, Bryant-Webster, Gilpin and Edison elementary schools - is hosting a “Night of Film” fundraiser to raise money to support after-school programs.

The event is Friday, March 26 at 3822 Tennyson St., from 6 to 8 p.m.

The films of documentary filmmaker Yvette Pita will be featured. Tickets are $10 at the door; seating is limited.

Yvette’s work includes a documentary on the history and high expectations of the program - including footage from Swansea Ballet’s summer intensive (2003), the advanced (Ceccheti 3), beginning and baby ballet classes, Swansea Ballet’s performance at Mayor John Hickenlooper’s inauguration, and the troupe’s new program at Edison Elementary School.

Currently, Swansea Ballet involves 60 students.
