The Thomas Jefferson and South High School baseball teams are two of 20 Colorado high schools that will play a game at Coors Field this spring. The game TJ – South game is set for noon on Tuesday, March 30.
The game is free to the public, but to earn the chance to play, Thomas Jefferson students need to sell 1,500 tickets to the Sept. 9 Rockies game vs. Barry Bonds and the San Francisco Giants. Ticket purchasers also will get a free first level outfield box seat to either the April 26 Rockies game vs. the Florida Marlins or the May 14 game vs. the Philadelphia Phillies.
South High School students are selling tickets for the April 26 Rockies game vs. the Marlins, the May 14 game vs. the Phillies, the July 19 game vs. the San Diego Padres and the Sept. 18 game vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers.
