The undefeated East High School Angels will square off Saturday, March 13 against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies for the Class 5A title in the boys’ basketball state tournament. The game will begin at 8:15 p.m. at the Coors Event Center on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder.

East earned a trip to the championship game by beating Mullen Thursday night by a score of 67-56. Guard Sean Ogirri led the way with 30 points. The Angels are undefeated (23-0) and recently brought coach Rudy Carey above the 500-win mark for his career. ThunderRidge (22-1) has held the state championship title two years in a row.
