Montbello High School will host the annual Academic Excellence in the 21st Century Awards Ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8. The ceremony is a school-wide effort to recognize students with a 3.0 grade point average and above. The theme for this year is “achieving forward” and the guest speaker is Colorado Senator Peter Groff.

The event will take place in the auditorium. The idea for the event was developed by Principal Hansel Gunn, who is proud of the achievements of the Montbello High School student-body. Students will be awarded medals and certificates for their achievements.
