The Kepner Middle School Drama Club will present its annual musical next week. This year’s performance is “Once On This Island, Jr.,” a Caribbean adaptation of the popular Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid," featuring a poignant story and a Caribbean flavored score.

The first performance is at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 for incoming fifth-grade students. Subsequent performances will be at 9:20 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11. The final presentation will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 (admission is $3). Proceeds from the Feb. 12 production will fund future productions.

All performances will be in the Kepner Middle School auditorium. This year's production has been enhanced greatly thanks to a $10,000 grant from the DPS Foundation.
