East High School will be the scene for the first annual Pow Wow from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Indian art, jewelry booths, prize drawings, a handgame tournament and special dances will be part of the gathering. The event will include special drum groups, gourd dancing, and the Cheyenne Creek Singers from Pine Ridge, S.D. The Grand Entry, with all dancers and drummers on the arena floor, will be held at 3 p.m.
