Crofton Elementary School will host Avi, last year’s Newbery winning author, on Thursday morning, March 4 with a celebration beginning at 10 a.m.

Students in third through fifth grades have been studying many of Avi’s 50 published novels. Last year, Avi was awarded the Newbery award for “Crispin: The Cross of Lead.”
