Kunsmiller Middle School will hold a Black History Month Assembly on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at noon in the school auditorium.

Mr. Ron Ivory and Ms. Linda Styles of the Miles Apart Band will perform a chronology of African American music. Two staff members - music teacher Jim Hoppes and social studies teacher Alan Chesis - will join the band for portions of the program.

Mr. Ivory and Ms. Staples also will meet with students interested in music as a career prior to the assembly to answer questions about a music career. Mr. Ivory, the leader of the group, is a product of the Denver Public Schools.
