Garden Place Second-Graders First To See New Exhibit At Butterfly Pavilion

Garden Place Elementary School second-graders will help with the Grand Opening of the Butterfly Pavilion's new building addition from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19. They will be the very first students to experience the exhibits. The students will use the new classrooms and then move on to the new display area.

"The children will be behind the scenes seeing the exhibit before it is completed and released to the general public," said Patrick Tennyson, education director at the Butterfly Pavilion. "The students will also be providing valuable feedback on the development, traffic flow, etc."

To prepare for this event, the students have been studying about arthropods and other types of bugs. They will see all sorts of creatures that make up the bug world from land to water. Students also made artwork that will be displayed.

The Butterfly Pavilion is located at 6252 W. 104th Ave. Garden Place Elementary School is located at 4425 Lincoln St. For more information, contact Catherine O'Neil at 303-295-7785.
