| Parents, community members and alumni are invited to attend the 8th Annual Cory Elementary School Auction from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at the Highlands Masonic Center.
The auction is the PTA’s main fundraiser. This year’s goal is $25,000. Funds help support all of the PTA activities at Cory, ranging from field trips to teacher mini-grants to after-school enrichment programs such as art and science club.
“Not only is the auction our school’s major fundraiser, it also is a way for the Cory community to come together and have a great time supporting our school,” says John Downs, Cory PTA co-president.
The popular event includes a raffle, live auction and silent auction. Items are donated by local merchants and businesses as well as Cory staff, teachers, parents and students. Items range from a weekend visit to a luxurious hotel to a gourmet meal prepared and served by a Cory family to educational field trips given by teachers for students.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance by calling 303-733-6362, or they may be purchased at the door. The Highlands Masonic Center is located at 3550 Federal Blvd. in the Highlands neighborhood.
