Beach Court Elementary School Family Math Night will be held Thursday, Jan. 29 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Prior to the math events, the evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a Winter Concert featuring the Early Childhood Education and kindergarten classes singing songs about the winter season and offering a salute to Martin Luther King, Jr. with songs about peace, love and understanding. The concert will be held in the auditorium.

Immediately following the concert, parents will attend informational sessions in their child's classroom focusing on the EveryDay Math Curriculum in second- through fifth-grades and Houghton Mifflin for ECE through first-grade. Parents will learn the various components of both programs and how to support math learning at home. Both parents and students will experience a typical day in mathematics and the joy of playing math games to reinforce basic math facts and learned skills.
