Celebrations Will Mark 100th Day Of School For Columbian And Southmoor Elementary Schools

Columbian and Southmoor elementary schools are celebrating the 100th day of the school year on Friday, Jan. 30 and Wednesday, Feb. 3, respectively. Each school will have special activities planned that involve the number 100.

Columbian will have a cake cut into 100 pieces, 100 helium balloons, games, count up activities, physical education and library projects, and displays of ideas that explore 100. Parents are invited to attend the all-day event at Columbian. They will be able to eat lunch with their children and join them in the classroom to participate in the festivities.

Southmoor will have parent volunteers helping with 20 different activities set up for students. The festivities at Southmoor will begin at 9:25 a.m. and last until 11:30 a.m.
