Whiteman Elementary School will host an “Evening of Fine Arts” and a Holiday Book Fair Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Whiteman students of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Choir will entertain the audience with a holiday program.

All Whiteman students will have artwork or creative writing on display in the school’s showroom. The visual art students have been exploring the sunflowers and techniques of Van Gogh, the pottery of Native American culture, self-portraits and watercolor.

The evening also will be an opportunity for students and their families to browse the Scholastic Book Fair for holiday gifts. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit Whiteman’s classrooms.
