| In continuous efforts to help Denver Public Schools educate children on the value of money, DPS Credit Union recently met with the kindergarten class at Kaiser Elementary.
The children participated in coin recognition exercises, discussed the importance of saving money, and inquired about Credit Union functions. “I was very impressed with the children’s level of interest, participation and their basic knowledge of money”, said Shannon Ellis, Marketing/Public Relations Specialist of DPS Credit Union.
DPS Credit Union in partnership with Denver Public Schools will be conducting budgeting and money management seminars for children in grades K – 12.
“We always welcome the opportunity to help DPS educate students on the importance of managing money wisely”, said Duane Bruno, Chief Corporate Officer of DPS Credit Union. DPS Credit Union will also be administering tours of its facilities to better explain Credit Union functions and responsibilities.
