Gove will celebrate parents at the Gove Holiday Celebration Friday, Dec. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Parents of students in Gove's ABC Club will receive certificates of recognition for supporting their child's academic success.

The ABC Club parents - about 200 in all - will receive the certificates. The ABC Club is a vehicle to recognize all students who earned A's, B's or C's on their report cards.

"Parents are an integral part of success with learning and we feel it's very important to recognize and honor their efforts to support student achievement,” said Gove principal Larry Tarver.

In addition, the Gove Drama Club will perform its version of "A Christmas Carol.” Students from the Studio Literacy classes will read their own works, and there will be an art exhibit of student work.
