Busy Holiday Season At Brown Elementary School

Everyone is invited to attend the following holiday events performed over the next two weeks at Brown Elementary School. The school staff is very proud of faculty and students who have worked hard to prepare for these December performances.

The events include:

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be performed by Carol Saloranta’s fifth-grade class from Room 214. This play, about school children who experience their first Christmas pageant, is a wonderful comedy that has been developed from a favorite children’s story. The play will be performed on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Holiday Choir Concerts for the third-, fourth- and fifth-graders will be on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Plan to attend either the 2 p.m. matinee or the 6:30 p.m. performance in the cafeteria.

“The Listeners” was written by Michelle Williams of the Brown Elementary School’s Eldercare Program. The seniors in this program are working with Judith Girard’s third-grade class to perform a play that focuses on how the lives of lonely individuals can be enhanced by the presence of children. The play will include both singing and the use of sign language for holiday songs. This play will be presented immediately following the Holiday Choir Concerts at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dec. 16.

The ECE/Kindergarten Holiday Program will take place on Friday, Dec. 19. The program will begin with special rotations throughout the morning, followed by songs and poems in the auditorium at 10:45 a.m.

Brown Elementary School is located at 2550 Lowell Blvd. The school’s telephone number is 303-477-1611.
