The Hispanic Education Advisory Council (HEAC) to Denver Public Schools is seeking applications for 2-Year Membership Terms. Interested candidates should submit a resume and a brief letter of intent by December 1 for immediate consideration.

Established in 1969, HEAC strives to assure excellence in education by assisting the Board of Education and Superintendent in understanding and addressing the issues of Hispanic students.

HEAC meets on the second Wednesday of each month during the academic year at Academia Ana Marie Sandoval (3655 Wyandot St.). Events for this year include an awards ceremony, a get out the vote campaign, and defined strategies to increase the numbers of Latinos in DPS magnet schools and specialty programs.
