| The Denver Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Ms. Kristin Richardson to the Board of Directors.
Richardson currently serves on the Denver Academy Board of Trustees. In addition, she has been active with the Central City Opera, helping them to develop a strategic five-year plan, and is also involved with several other non-profit organizations in Denver including the Children’s Hospital and the Colorado Ballet. She was also active in the campaign of Mayor John Hickenlooper.
“We are excited to have such an active member of the community join our board,” says Chairman Bruce Benson. “We welcome her enthusiasm and commitment as we strive to achieve the goals of the Foundation.”
The Denver Public Schools Foundation is Colorado’s largest K-12 educational foundation and supports the priorities of Denver Public Schools. The foundation was reorganized last year by Superintendent Jerry Wartgow and Board of Education member Elaine Gantz Berman. Bruce Benson, chief executive officer of Benson Mineral Group serves as chairman.
