The spirit of giving is alive and well at Goldrick Elementary School. The Student Council at Goldrick sponsored its annual canned food drive last week, and with the help of the entire Goldrick community collected 2,706 items for Community Ministries food bank.

The Community Ministries food bank provides services for much of the Southwest Denver quadrant. The items collected will help provide holiday food baskets for many of the areas needy and elderly. Some of the members of Student Council had the opportunity to visit the food bank and learn about what goes on there. It was a powerful lesson in being thankful for all we have and the importance of sharing with those less fortunate.
