| The Park Hill School of International Studies (ECE through seventh-grade) will host its Annual Winter Bazaar and Silent Auction on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003. The event will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Park Hill is located at 5050 E. 19th Ave., 10 blocks east of Colorado Blvd. and one block south of Montview Blvd..
There is no need to shop the malls when you can shop the halls of the Winter Bazaar and Silent Auction. The silent auction will have many quality items for sale. Various items for the young and the young at heart will be available. Class theme baskets, gift certificates to restaurants, autographed sports and rock n’ roll memorabilia, unique art objects and concert tickets to an upcoming sold out event are among the items on which you can bid.
The Snowflake Shoppe will include crafts and small items at reasonable prices - offering a place for children to come and do their holiday shopping.
Too busy to cook in December? The bazaar will include a bake sale including casseroles, soups, breads and much more.
Cristina Sandoval will showcase a gallery of student art. Ceramic teapots and wind chimes, and hand crafted birdhouses and mosaic tables are some of the items you will want to purchase from the young artisans.
The event will also include fresh ethnic cuisine, face painting, a raffle drawing for Fillmore Auditorium tickets and a live musical performance by the third grade.
The proceeds from this event will fund special programs not covered by regular DPS allocations. In the past, the money has paid for the art lab, computer lab, science lab, library resources and the gifted/talented program. Come have some fun at this “fundraiser” and help support programs that lead to well rounded students.
