The annual Thanksgiving meal will be served in schools this week and next. Many schools have invited families to join students for lunch. Please contact your neighborhood school for dates and times of serving and details regarding reservations.

Lowry Elementary School, for example, is a newer school that opened in August of 2002 and will celebrate Thanksgiving with families, some for the first time. Early Childhood Education students, kindergarten and second grade will have their Thanksgiving lunch between 11:20 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18. First-, third-, fourth- and fifth-grades will have lunch between 11:20 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. Tickets are available in the main office. Lowry Elementary School is located at 8001 E. DPS prices for adults who want to participate in this special lunch are $2.25 for lunch only and $2.60 for lunch plus a beverage. Prices for elementary students are $1.25 and $1.50 for children not attending a DPS school. Middle school student prices are $1.50, and high school student prices are $2.
