North High School will host a signing celebration for star basketball player Mike Gordy this morning (Wednesday, Nov. 12) at 9:30 a.m.  The event will be held in the community room at the school, 2960 N. Speer Blvd.

Mike Gordy is an All-City and All-State basketball player.  Mike Gordy led the Division 5A in scoring and finished second in rebounds. Mike Gordy also broke a single game scoring record at the Adidas National Bigtime Basketball Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada. This record was previously held by Denver Nugget Carmelo Anthony. 

Mike Gordy is ranked in the top 100 high school basketball players in the nation according to Gametime Basketball Magazine. Mike Gordy will sign his letter of intent to play collegiate basketball at University of Northern Colorado.

East High School will host a signing ceremony for two athletes on Monday, Nov. 17. 

Softball player Jessica Barnes will sign with The University of South Carolina and basketball player Sean Ogirri will sign with Wichita State University.  The signing will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Social Room at East High School, 1545 Detroit. St.
