DPS Middle And High School Choral Festival At South High School Saturday, Nov. 22

On Saturday, Nov. 22 the annual DPS middle and high school choral festival will be held at South High School. Students from nearly all of the 20 middle schools and 12 high schools will be singing. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. in the auditorium.

“This year promises to be better than ever (standing ovations for the last 5 years!) with Mike Weiker (Metro State College) and Rex Nelson (University of Denver) as guest conductors,” says Stephen Gonzales, Manager of Music Curriculum for Denver Public Schools.

Also performing will be the University of Denver Men's Chorus as well as a special song written by teacher Stephen Nye in honor of Denver Public Schools' 100th anniversary.
