Literacy Night, Pajama Party At Barnum Elementary School Thursday, Nov. 6

Students and parents at Barnum Elementary School are invited to a Pajama Party on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the school (85 Hooker St.).

After a presentation about the importance of reading in the All Purpose Room, the halls will be filled with parents, students, and teachers reading. All students will have a chance to see their favorite teacher or staff member in their pajamas! Baskets of books and plenty of comfortable pillows will be provided, along with milk and cookies and a stuffed animal for each student to use as a reading buddy.

The principal, Myrella Goff, as well as other teachers and the literacy coaches will read favorite books aloud at scheduled times. Families that want to build their home libraries or buy Christmas presents to support their children's literacy can come to the Scholastic Book Fair in the library.

For more information, please call Barnum Elementary School at 303-935-3509.
